Project Power Up is a low to no cost program that offers 8-weeks of skills training, GED test preparation, and job placement assistance to help individuals who want to get their lives back on track.
The program provides young individuals (18–24) who did not complete high school with opportunities to connect to the education and supports that help them launch successful careers. Think of Project Power Up as a pathway… guiding young adults to take the next step toward a promising future.
Program Benefits include:
Job readiness training: Prepare participants to get, keep and excel at a job. Basic employability skills include effective communication, problem solving, resume building, and interviewing. Job readiness training programs also help participants develop good work habits that facilitate their ongoing success. Workshops typically include lectures, discussions and role-playing exercises. Job readiness programs may also provide transportation.
